Second diagnosis of breast cancer increased by mutation

TORONTO, ON – Women with BRCA mutations have an extremely high lifetime risk of developing breast cancer and an elevated risk of developing second primary cancer in the opposite breast, according to a recent study published in the British Journal of Cancer. Celebrated U of T linguist wins Killam Prize

TORONTO, ON –University of Toronto linguistics professor Keren Rice, considered one of Canada’s foremost experts in the Slavey (Dene) language, one of the official languages of the Northwest Territories, has been awarded one of five 2011 Killam Prizes.
