U of T Key Dates

TORONTO, ON – The official countdown to back to school has begun. This September, U of T’s three campuses will come alive as new and returning students participate in orientation activities, attend their first day of classes and move into residence.
Here are a few important dates to remember:

ORIENTATION EVENTS

Friday, September 10

10am to 2pm | Clubs ShowcaseAn exciting and interactive event that introduces over 10,000 students to more than 300 campus groups and organizations. Students can walk around at their leisure, join clubs and gather information about services and programs for students | Hart House ( 7 Hart House Circle) & King’s College Circle |
2:30 to 4:30pm | Orientation Parade Hundreds of students parade, cheer and chant enthusiastically around the streets of downtown Toronto | Starts at King’s College Circle and ends on field behind University College |
4:30 to 5pm | World Record Challenge Students attempt to set the Guinness World Record for largest air guitar ensemble. Lance “The Shred” Kasten – a US air guitar champion – will be leading the students through an air guitar routine | Back campus — The field behind University College. (Bordered by Hoskin Ave. to the North, Hart House to the East, UC to the South and the UC Residences to the West) |
5 to 7pm | Orientation Concert | Back campus |
