TORONTO, ON – The offi­cial count­down to back to school has begun. This Sep­tem­ber, U of T’s three cam­pus­es will come alive as new and return­ing stu­dents par­tic­i­pate in ori­en­ta­tion activ­i­ties, attend their first day of class­es and move into res­i­dence.

Here are a few impor­tant dates to remem­ber:

10am to 2pm      Clubs Show­caseAn excit­ing and inter­ac­tive event that intro­duces over 10,000 stu­dents to more than 300 cam­pus groups and orga­ni­za­tions. Stu­dents can walk around at their leisure, join clubs and gath­er infor­ma­tion about ser­vices and pro­grams for stu­dents Hart House ( 7 Hart  House Cir­cle) & King’s Col­lege Cir­cle
2:30 to 4:30pm   Ori­en­ta­tion Parade Hun­dreds of  stu­dents parade, cheer and chant enthu­si­as­ti­cal­ly around the streets of down­town Toron­to Starts at King’s Col­lege Cir­cle and ends on field behind Uni­ver­si­ty Col­lege   
4:30 to 5pm     World Record Chal­lenge  Stu­dents attempt to set the Guin­ness World Record for largest air gui­tar ensem­ble. Lance “The Shred” Kas­ten – a US air gui­tar cham­pi­on – will be lead­ing the stu­dents through an air gui­tar rou­tine Back cam­pus — The field behind Uni­ver­si­ty Col­lege. (Bor­dered by Hoskin Ave. to the North, Hart House to the East, UC to the South and the UC Res­i­dences to the West)
5 to 7pm     Ori­en­ta­tion Con­cert   Back cam­pus

Sep­tem­ber 19–24

 Sep­tem­ber 19 to 24 Queer Ori­en­ta­tion WeekA tri-cam­pus U of T ini­tia­tive that wel­comes new and return­ing stu­dents.
