Rotman School of Management is offering to help business scholars and students affected by the US restrictions

Toron­to, ON – The Rot­man School of Man­age­ment at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to has been mon­i­tor­ing the impact on the recent trav­el restric­tions enact­ed by the US Exec­u­tive Order.

“We are very proud of our diverse and inclu­sive aca­d­e­m­ic com­mu­ni­ty of stu­dents, staff and fac­ul­ty here at the Rot­man School and we will cer­tain­ly sup­port our inter­na­tion­al stu­dents and fac­ul­ty who may be impact­ed,” says Dean Tiff Mack­lem. “One of our core val­ues is that we are com­mit­ted to wel­com­ing peo­ple from around the world based on their tal­ent and skills regard­less of their place of birth, reli­gion, gen­der, and sex­u­al ori­en­ta­tion.”

Addi­tion­al­ly, con­sis­tent with Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to poli­cies and stan­dards, and Cana­di­an immi­gra­tion and employ­ment laws, the Rot­man School is explor­ing how it may be able to assist the broad­er aca­d­e­m­ic com­mu­ni­ty of schol­ars and stu­dents of busi­ness and man­age­ment.

The Rot­man School real­izes the extent of the dis­rup­tion is still being deter­mined, but is explor­ing how it can help fel­low fac­ul­ty and stu­dents who are affect­ed by the trav­el restric­tions.  Affect­ed col­leagues and stu­dents may con­tact Prof. Joshua Gans at joshua.gans@rotman.utoronto.ca.
