Top Canadian, Indian institutions form $30M partnership to improve water and infrastructure safety, eradicate diseases

Scientists from the University of British Columbia, University of Alberta, University of Toronto and 11 leading institutions in India are joining forces to tackle urgent issues in both countries with a $30-million partnership. Michael Wilson to be installed as U of T Chancellor at fall convocation

TORONTO, ON – The Hon. Michael Wilson will be formally installed as the 33rd Chancellor of the University of Toronto on Monday, November 12. Ontario Genomics Institute invests in validation of a novel protein interaction technology at the University of Toronto

Chair in Canadian Business History appointed at University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management

U of T study finds that cuts to local immigration partnerships may negatively impact newcomers to Toronto

TORONTO, ON - Cutting funding and amalgamating the Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs) — the network of organizations and agencies working together to coordinate settlement services for recent immigrants — will likely negatively affect the estimated 75,000 newcomers to Toronto each year, a University of Toronto study has found. Although LIPs are facilitated by non-profit organizations, they are federally funded through Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).
