Public lecture by U of T’s Dr. Steve Narod on cancer prevention
TORONTO, ON —Dr. Steven Narod, world-renowned breast and ovarian cancer geneticist will give a public lecture entitled “Cancer Prevention in the Era of Personalized Medicine” on November 15. Thin, active invisibility cloak demonstrated for first time
TORONTO, ON — Invisibility cloaking is no longer the stuff of science fiction: two researchers in The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering have demonstrated an effective invisibility cloak that is thin, scalable and adaptive to different types and sizes of objects. “Healthy” vegetable oils may actually increase risk of heart disease, researchers say
TORONTO, ON - Healthy eating just got a little more complicated. New research from the University of Toronto shows certain vegetable oils that claim to be healthy may actually increase the risk of heart disease. Mindful individuals less affected by immediate rewards
TORONTO, ON - A new study from the University of Toronto Scarborough shows that people who are aware of and their own thoughts and emotions are less affected by positive feedback from others.
