Rotman MBA team wins A.T. Kearney’s Global Prize Competition

TORONTO, ON – A team of students from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management’s Full Time MBA program have won A.T. Kearney’s Global Prize 2013, an annual strategic case competition, by defeating a team from London Business School. Nine out of ten families in Toronto’s aging rental high-rise buildings at risk of homelessness, U of T research finds

TORONTO, ON – New research from the University of Toronto’s Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work has found that nine out of ten families living in Toronto’s aging high-rise rental apartments are in inadequate housing that may place them at risk of homelessness. U of T researchers identify optimal structure and cell ratio of heart

TORONTO, ON - Researchers at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Biomaterials & Biomedical Engineering (IBBME) and the McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine have identified the optimal structure and cell ratio associated with heart function – and the discovery has already led the team to another research first: the engineering of the first-ever living, three-dimensional human arrhythmic tissue. U of T President Gertler heads to China on first international trip since taking office

TORONTO, ON – University of Toronto President Meric Gertler is travelling to Beijing and Hong Kong on his first international visit since taking the helm of Canada’s largest university. Gertler arrives in Beijing on November 19, where he will meet with counterparts from leading institutions, including Peking and Tsinghua universities, and senior government officials.  He will also co-host an alumni reception along with Canadian ambassador Guy Saint-Jacques.
