U of T launches India Innovation Institute

TORONTO, ON – David Nay­lor, Pres­i­dent of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to, launch­es the India Inno­va­tion Insti­tute. A joint ini­tia­tive of the Munk School of Glob­al Affairs and the Rot­man School of Man­age­ment, the India Inno­va­tion Insti­tute will be a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary hub for fac­ul­ty and stu­dents research­ing the field of inno­va­tion.

Preeti Saran, Con­sul Gen­er­al of India and Shashi Tha­roor, for­mer Under Sec­re­tary Gen­er­al of the Unit­ed Nations and cur­rent mem­ber of the Lok Sab­ha in India will deliv­er remarks. The event will take place on Wednes­day, Octo­ber 5, 2011 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 pm at Munk School of Glob­al Affairs, Trin­i­ty Col­lege, 1 Devon­shire Place.
