Value of police body-worn cameras yet to be proven : researchers

Body-worn cameras might not be all they’re cracked up to be—according to a group of researchers from the University of Toronto. Body-worn cameras have been credited with decreasing police brutality and civilian complaints against officers, but according to research conducted by PhD students Erick Laming and Jihyun Kwon under the supervision of criminologist Scot Wortley, there isn’t any concrete evidence to back up these claims.
