Improving Conversion Of Carbon Dioxide

A group at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to led by Ted Sar­gent found that when a gold sur­face was shaped into nee­dles the elec­tric cur­rent became high­ly con­cen­trat­ed at their tips. They demon­strat­ed an order of mag­ni­tude increase in the cur­rent den­si­ty over met­al rods or nanopar­ti­cles, to 22 mil­liamps per square cen­time­ter. Read more.
