Hykso’s punch-tracking sensors measure boxer’s performance

Hykso’s device is tucked into the cloth strips that fight­ers use to wrap their hands before putting on box­ing gloves. It con­tains an accelerom­e­ter, which mea­sures the speed of a punch, and a gyro­scope, which mea­sures the ori­en­ta­tion of move­ment, to record the fre­quen­cy and vari­ety of punch­es thrown by a box­er dur­ing train­ing and fights.
