Ms. Doer­ing, an assis­tant pro­fes­sor of strate­gic man­age­ment at the Rot­man School of Man­age­ment at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to, learned through inter­views with low-income entre­pre­neurs in Pana­ma that the group pos­sessed many cre­ative busi­ness ideas.
