“The idea is that dur­ing walk­ing, we are giv­ing off mechan­i­cal ener­gy which can be cap­tured,” Jan Andry­sek, a pro­fes­sor at the Insti­tute of Bio­ma­te­ri­als and Bio­med­ical Engi­neer­ing at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to, told me.
