Leader in wealth management appointed at the Rotman School of Management

TORONTO, ON – A finance indus­try vet­er­an with over 30 years of expe­ri­ence has been appoint­ed as an Adjunct Pro­fes­sor at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to’s Rot­man School of Man­age­ment.

Tom McCul­lough is Chair­man and CEO of North­wood Fam­i­ly Office LP. He has spent over 30 years in the wealth management/family office field, ini­tial­ly in senior exec­u­tive roles with RBC Wealth Man­age­ment.

Found­ed in 2003, North­wood Fam­i­ly Office has quick­ly become one of the lead­ers in its field and has been rec­og­nized as the ‘#1 inde­pen­dent fam­i­ly office in Cana­da’ by Euromoney in its glob­al pri­vate bank­ing sur­vey. A fam­i­ly office acts as a per­son­al CFO or chief advi­sor to suc­cess­ful fam­i­lies, with a ded­i­cat­ed team of pro­fes­sion­als who over­see and man­age the com­plete finan­cial affairs of client fam­i­lies.

Cur­rent­ly he is teach­ing ‘The Man­age­ment of Pri­vate Wealth’ in the MBA pro­gram at the Rot­man School and is an Entre­pre­neur-in-Res­i­dence at West­ern University’s Ivey School of Busi­ness. He is a mem­ber of the Edi­to­r­i­al Board of the Jour­nal of Wealth Man­age­ment, holds a cer­tifi­cate in Fam­i­ly Busi­ness Advis­ing from the Fam­i­ly Firm Insti­tute, is the found­ing Chair of the Cana­di­an Pri­vate Fam­i­ly Office Invi­ta­tion­al Sum­mit, and found­ing Co-Chair of the Cana­di­an Fam­i­ly Office and Advi­sors’ Forum.

He holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Busi­ness at York Uni­ver­si­ty, as well as the CIM (Char­tered Invest­ment Man­ag­er) and CSWP (Char­tered Strate­gic Wealth Pro­fes­sion­al) des­ig­na­tions, and is a reg­is­tered Port­fo­lio Man­ag­er.

The Rot­man School of Man­age­ment at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to is redesign­ing busi­ness edu­ca­tion for the 21st cen­tu­ry with a cur­ricu­lum based on Inte­gra­tive Think­ing.
