University of Toronto to host Techno Pitches 2014
July 9, 2014
TORONTO, ON – On Friday, July 11 the Impact Centre will host Techno Pitches, the culmination of a month-long training session for 38 “technopreneurs” working to bringing their tech-based companies to market – companies that aim to provide people with a better quality of life. On Friday, aspiring technopreneurs will present their companies and what they have learned during the month-long entrepreneurship training.
The four-week program provides fundamental entrepreneurship training to graduate students from across the physical sciences and engineering to help them take their technical, academic work from science to society through startup companies. Their companies are developing technologies that range from a cleaning formulation that will remove environmental allergens, to a system that can selectively separate stem cells.
