Largest single research grant in the history of the University of Toronto

TORONTO, ON – Tomorrow at the University of Toronto, President Meric Gertler welcomes Minister of State (Science and Technology) Ed Holder, who will announce the first recipient of the inaugural competition of the Canada First Research Excellence Fund during an official ceremony.
This will be the largest single research grant in the history of the University of Toronto.
Before the announcement, Minister Holder will join Dr. Peter Zandstra on a tour of his lab in the Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research. Members of the media are invited to attend. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in at the reception desk.
