Bronze Sculpture of Norman Bethune to be unveiled Friday, May 30, 2014

TORONTO, ON — A life-sized bronze sculpture of University of Toronto’s Temerty Temerty Faculty of Medicine alumnus, Dr. Norman Bethune, will be unveiled at the institution’s St. George campus, marking the 75th anniversary of his death.
Who: The Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, The Honourable Michael Wilson, Chancellor of the University of Toronto and Professor Meric Gertler, President of the University of Toronto, will join Dr. Catharine Whiteside, Dean, Temerty Temerty Faculty of Medicine.
Where: University of Toronto, on the grounds behind the Medical Science Building, 1 Kings College Circle (facing the Ontario Legislative Building, Queen’s Park)
When: Media registration is from 2:15 to 3 p.m. The unveiling ceremony will take place at 3 p.m.
