Bronze Sculpture of Norman Bethune to be unveiled Friday, May 30, 2014

TORONTO, ON — A life-sized bronze sculp­ture of Uni­ver­si­ty of Toronto’s Temer­ty Temer­ty Fac­ul­ty of Med­i­cine alum­nus, Dr. Nor­man Bethune, will be unveiled at the institution’s St. George cam­pus, mark­ing the 75th anniver­sary of his death.

Who:               The Right Hon­ourable Adri­enne Clark­son, The Hon­ourable Michael Wil­son, Chan­cel­lor of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to and Pro­fes­sor Mer­ic Gertler, Pres­i­dent of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to, will join Dr. Catharine White­side, Dean, Temer­ty Temer­ty Fac­ul­ty of Med­i­cine.

Where:           Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to, on the grounds behind the Med­ical Sci­ence Build­ing, 1 Kings Col­lege Cir­cle (fac­ing the Ontario Leg­isla­tive Build­ing, Queen’s Park)

When:             Media reg­is­tra­tion is from 2:15 to 3 p.m. The unveil­ing cer­e­mo­ny will take place at 3 p.m.
