A special conversation with Nandan Nilekani, Infosys co-founder and chairman unique identification authority of India

TORONTO, ON – The University of Toronto and MaRS is pleased to present a “Special Conversation” with Nandan Nilekani co-founder of Infosys Technologies Ltd., and Chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). UIDAI aims to provide a unique identification number for all residents of India.
The event, moderated by Roger Martin, Dean of the Rotman School of Management, will take place Monday, May 30 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Auditorium at MaRS.
Mr. Nilekani was listed as one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world in 2006 and 2009 and was named Businessman of the Year by Forbes Asia in 2006. He co-founded India’s National Association of Software and Service Companies, is a member of the board of governors of the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations and is president of NCAER, an independent, applied economics research institute in India.
On May 31, 2011, the University of Toronto will confer the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws upon Mr. Nilekani.
