Rotman School hosts Women in Management MBA open house

TORONTO, ON – From the class­room to the board­room, the Rot­man School of Man­age­ment at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to sup­ports women in their efforts to advance and be suc­cess­ful in their careers. On Decem­ber 2, the school will be host­ing the annu­al Rot­man Women in Man­age­ment Open House which allows prospec­tive female can­di­dates for the Rot­man MBA pro­grams to explore the ben­e­fits of pur­su­ing the degree from many per­spec­tives.

The open house allows par­tic­i­pants to gain insight into every aspect of the MBA cycle, from the admis­sion process, the pro­gram, career oppor­tu­ni­ties and the alum­ni net­work.

The evening kicks off at 5:30 pm with a pan­el dis­cus­sion mod­er­at­ed by Beat­rix Dart, Exec­u­tive Direc­tor, Rot­man Ini­tia­tive for Women in Busi­ness and Asso­ciate Dean, Exec­u­tive Degree Pro­grams. Oth­er pan­elists include:

•         Kathy But­ler (Full-Time MBA 1996), Man­ag­ing Direc­tor, Invest­ment Bank­ing (Van­cou­ver), CIBC World Mar­kets Inc.;

•         Jane van Alphen (Evening MBA 2003), Vice Pres­i­dent, Oper­a­tions, Ontario Insti­tute for Can­cer Research;

•         Juli­eta Pine­da (Exec­u­tive MBA 2007), Direc­tor, McDonald’s in Wal­mart; and,

The Rot­man MBA is avail­able in five for­mats: the full-time Two-Year MBA; the part-time Three-Year Morn­ing MBA and Three-Year Evening MBA; a One-Year Exec­u­tive MBA, designed for senior man­agers; and the Omni­um Glob­al Exec­u­tive MBA, which is deliv­ered in eight key cen­tres of inter­na­tion­al busi­ness in six coun­tries.
